Wishing Tree Tags

A beautiful alternative to your traditional wedding guest book. The idea is for each wedding guest to write their wish for the Bride and Groom onto the little handmade tags and hang them on a tree for keepsakes. A tradition from Europe a tree is made from twigs and sprayed and these pretty tags are hung on the "Tree". The bride and groom keep these tags and look at them on each anniversary.

I also seen these hanging on a tree in church with a note on the table asking the guests to add a wish of rememberance to be said for all the people who were no longer with us.

The tags are in packs of 50 and supplied on a book ring to keep them safe until your ready to use them. Add a pretty ribbon or decorate them the choices are endless. Lots of pretty shades to suit your wedding colours.

My son the racing driver

Over the past few months we have been busy following our eldest sons new hobby as a Racing Driver!

He has been driving in the VW racing cup and I must admit although I was very nervous it is also very exciting. In his first race he finished a respectable 10th in the championship that was at Oulton Park. At Rockingham race track he was 11th and 6th in both races which moved him up to 8th place and this weekend he finished 6th in his first race and 6th in his second race at Knockhill racetrack. This bumpes him upto 5th in the championship leaderboard. Great work for a novice in his first season.

If anyone is interested in motor racing this is a great day out, the cars that drive cover a range of VW cars and vans and the speed of them is awsome, but what makes it even more special is the frienly atmosphere between the driers and families that attend these meetings. Our next race meeting is at Snetterton in Norfolk in three weeks time and although it was a long drive back from Knockhill in Scotland last night I can't wait for the next race.

Well a month has passed since my last blog and where has it gone.
With wedding preparations, work, orders to make, and trying to find the perfect hat things have not gone to plan.
I did find the style of hat that I wanted but the colour was wrong (I've decided on Navy) I ordered the hat two weeks ago and a bag in Navy. The hat arrived today the wedding is on Saturday and I've been a nervous wreck. It's beautiful BUT the bag instead of Navy turned out to be Electric Blue. Tomorrow, Good Friday, I will be running around the shops in search of a Navy bag and its not an easy task, I've searched some of the high street big names online but no bags in that colour. I need to go prepared with trainers on, light clothing and a brolly!
The nanny state should now make adverts featuring young couples warning their parents about the health risks associated with weddings, thinking about it I probably could have funded it when I total what I have spent.

Mother of the Groom

Well, I finally bought my wedding outfit for my sons wedding. I have left it very late its an Easter Wedding ! The outfit is a beautiful "Luis Civit" Grey Silver dress and jacket but now I need all the accessories. This is a picture of the dress but sadly this is not me in the dress (if ony) I am busy looking at all the beautiful jewellery blogs to get some ideas. I've not made my mind up about the hat yet, the Grey one looks great like the picture but I tried a Navy hat and this looks good too...decisions decisions.
